Cambodia Casinos

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just across the border from next door Thailand, where gambling hall gaming is prohibited. Eight gambling halls are anchored in a relatively small area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia casinos is in a prime spot, a 3 to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai laborers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The astonishing capital acquired from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of limitations requirements for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is assumed to be mostly Thai; still, financing sources are cryptic. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and though visas are allegedly necessary to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is correct of most border crossings.
The first Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving only one gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary bateau gambling den, features one hundred and fifty slot machines and 60 gaming tables. The Naga casino is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of chemin de fer, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slots and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machines and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slots and ninety six gaming tables, including 87 punto banco (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the common gaming tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 casinos in Poipet, also in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational resort and hotel compound that contains many luxuries on top of the casino, which provides 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machine games and eighty eight table games.
