Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an interesting background to the Cambodia gambling dens that sit just over the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which casino wagering is illegal. Eight casinos are based in a relatively tiny space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia gambling halls is in a perfect spot, a three to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai laborers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal income accrued from the gambling dens ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a few controls requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is assumed to be mainly Thai; however, funding sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 17:00, and though visas are apparently needed to pass, there are methods and means around this, as is accurate of most border crossings.
The 1st Cambodia gambling halls opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just 1 gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked barge gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machine games and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling den is open all hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of blackjack, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly followed. A total of 150 slots and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights 300 one armed bandits and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat chemin de fer (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and sixty six of the common tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, also in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational resort and hotel compound that highlights a number of conveniences in addition to the gambling hall, which houses ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machine games and 88 table games.
